The views from the balcony were breathtaking, and it was such a treat to wake up to the cityscape every morning. The living room was cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Colditz. I felt right at home! The bedroom was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. I had a great night's sleep every night. The flat-screen TV was a nice touch, allowing me to unwind and catch up on my favorite shows. Having an equipped kitchen with a fridge and an oven was fantastic. I enjoyed cooking my own meals and saving some money. The bathroom with a shower was clean and well-maintained. It had everything I needed during my stay.

While the apartment was perfect for me, I personally found the lack of additional amenities like a gym or a swimming pool a bit disappointing. Others may not mind, though.

Located above a nearby bar/restaurant, the owner greeted us upon arrival and showed us to the well-equipped and comfortable suite. The fridge was stocked with reasonably priced beers and soft drinks. Perfect for visiting the nearby castle and learning about WWII escape attempts with an excellent guide.

The apartment with a balcony and city views was absolutely amazing! It had a cozy living room, a flat-screen TV for some entertainment, and a well-equipped kitchen where I could prepare my own meals. The bedroom was comfortable and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. it felt like a home away from home!

Personally, I would have preferred if the bathroom in the apartment had a bathtub instead of just a shower. But hey, that's just my preference, others may still find the shower perfectly fine.

While having a washing machine was a plus, it would have been helpful to have a clothes maiden for drying our laundry. Additionally, the incessant ringing of church bells at 7 am was a bit annoying.

Who needs clean clothes or sleep anyway? No place to dry my washing and the church bells and 7am jackhammers were delightful!

We stayed at Ferienwohnung Schlosswachter Am Schloss for our visit to Colditz Castle and couldn't have asked for a better location. The suite is conveniently located above a bar/restaurant, and the owner was friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. The suite itself was well-equipped and comfortable, making our stay enjoyable. We particularly appreciated the fridge stocked with reasonably priced drinks, a nice touch. The proximity to the castle was perfect for exploring and we had a fantastic guide who shared fascinating stories of the escape attempts during WW2. A super location and a lovely apartment!
